CHICAGO (CBS) – Four people are in critical condition after a shooting in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Chicago police say four men were standing on the sidewalk in the quarter of West 51st Street around 7:30 p.m., when a gray car drove by and someone inside started shooting at them.
The 42-year-old man received several shots. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A 24-year-old man received shots in the back and left arm and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
Two other men, whose age is unknown, were also shot. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in unknown condition, police said.
The operatives of the First Region are carrying out an inspection.
