3 people shot, 2 in critical condition, in Auburn-Gresham
CHICAGO — Two teenagers and a man of unknown age were shot Sunday afternoon in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood.
Police said one of the victims was a 17-year-old boy who was shot in the middle of the back. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
The second victim, an unknown man, was shot in the head and was also taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said the third victim was a 15-year-old boy who was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital after suffering injuries to both legs. It is considered to be in good condition.
According to police, the victims were standing outside a home in the 7600 block of South Walcott Avenue when a person in a vehicle fired shots at the victims.
At the moment, the offenders have not been detained.
