CHICAGO – According to police, a 37-year-old man was shot dead Friday night in the Northwest Side.
Police said the man was sitting in his car at 4,400 a.m. on North Hamlin Avenue around 7:45 p.m. when a dark car pulled up and fired, hitting the man in the chest.
The victim then tried to flee the scene and knocked down several parked cars, causing his car to overturn. The man was taken to a Masonic medical center in Illinois, where he was pronounced dead.
No one is in custody, five zone detectives are investigating the shooting.
