An SUV without two tires was pulled over along Interstate 75 in Florida the driver talks about paranormal activity was behind the disappearance, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

According to him, this happened because someone put a curse on him, according to a press release dated October 28.

The traffic stop happened around 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Interstate 75 exit near Marion Oaks, the sheriff’s office said. Marion Oaks is about 65 miles northwest of Orlando.

“Deputy Wilson … noticed that not only were the tires flat, but that he was driving on what was left of the rim,” the sheriff’s office said.

“When the deputy asked about the damage to the vehicle, (the driver) said someone put a curse on him and that he hit the curb a little hard.”

The driver, who lives in Tampa, said the crash left him with a do-or-die choice: drive home with no tires or set the SUV on fire and sleep in the middle, according to body camera video.

“Someone put a curse on me,” says the driver. “This is paranormal activity.”

Suspecting that the case may involve another type of alcohol, deputies asked the 29-year-old driver to take a field sobriety test.

He agreed, but became increasingly agitated, spat at deputies, threatened to assault them, kicked them and tried to take a stun gun from one deputy’s holster, the sheriff’s office said.

“If you mess with me now, I’m going to tell you something, I’m going to smash your head in with a baseball bat,” the driver is heard telling the deputy. “I’m going to … skin you alive.”

Deputies detained the driver and accused him of: “Two beatings of a law enforcement officer; resisting an employee with the use of violence; attempt to deprive an official of means of protection or communication; corrupt by threatening a public servant and driving under the influence of alcohol.”

“He now faces up to 25.5 years in prison and is being held on $27,000 bond,” the sheriff’s office said.
