A man accidentally ran over and died in an accident in Beach Park

BEACH PARK, IL — A woman hit and killed a man early Sunday morning in Beach Park.

The man was lying in the street southbound on Lewis Avenue for an unknown reason when a woman driving a Volvo failed to see the man and ran over him, police said.

The police do not yet know why the man was lying on the street.

The incident is still under investigation.
