MISSION, Kan. (AP) — Winter weather has gripped the United States as a powerful storm sent temperatures plummeting and created whiteout conditions.
As of Friday, more than 200 million people – about 60% of the US population – were under some form of winter weather advisory or warning.
The National Weather Service says its warning map “represents one of the largest winter weather warnings and advisories.”
More than 3,100 flights to, from and from the US were canceled and more than 350,000 homes and businesses were without power Friday morning.
