Apple has finally released iOS 15.5, iPadOS 15.5, macOS 12.4 and watchOS 8.6 RC

Today Apple decided to release Release Candidate for iOS 15.5, iPadOS 15.5, macOS Monterey 12.4 and watchOS 8.6. The latest RC builds of the aforementioned firmware arrive a few weeks before the launch of Apple iOS 16 in June. Perhaps iOS 15.5 will be the latest build before Apple unveils iOS 16 at WWDC’s event next month. As mentioned earlier, iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 RC builds are finally available for download on compatible iPhone and iPad models. If you are a developer, you can download the latest RC build to your iPhone and iPad via Apple Developer Center or by air. Make sure you have set up the appropriate configuration profile from the Developer Center. iOS 15.5 makes minor additions to the combination of features other than performance and bug fixes. iOS 15.5 includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
– The wallet now allows Apple Cash customers to send and request money from their Apple Cash card
– Apple podcasts include a new setting to limit the series stored on your iPhone, and automatically delete old ones
– Fixes an issue where home automation caused by the arrival or departure of people may fail

In addition to iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5, Apple has also made the ROS macOS Monterey 12.4 build available for download. If you are a developer, you can install the build from the Apple Developer Center. Once you have installed the appropriate configuration profile, the RC build will be available for download via Software update mechanism in system settings. macOS Monterey 12.4 is also paired with a studio display to offer the latest version of Studio Update 15.5 firmware for improving webcam quality.

Finally, Apple has also made the RC WatchOS 8.6 build available for download on compatible Apple Watch models. Developers can download a configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. Once installed, the build can be downloaded from a special Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Just go to General> Software Update. WatchOS 8.6 adds ECG functionality to users in Mexico, according to notes to Apple’s release.
