Boys’ schools will resume classes tomorrow | Main stories

PANA, IL — In a release posted on Facebook, Pana Community School District 8 announced it has been given the green light to resume normal school operations Thursday.

The school was placed on lockdown earlier today when a note was found in a high school restroom that read, “There is a shooter at school.”

In the implementation of the anti-crisis plan, the management of the school was assisted by the police department of Pana.

As of 8:00 pm Wednesday, PPD has given the go-ahead to reopen the school. Superintendent Jason J. Bauer said there were no known threats to school safety.
