Chicago Police: 1 arrested after jumping off United Airlines flight and walking on wing at O’Hare Airport

CHICAGO (WLS) – A man was arrested after Chicago police said he pulled out an emergency exit on a plane at O’Hare Airport on Thursday morning and slipped into an airfield.

The United Airlines plane was approaching the exit to O’Hare around 4:32 a.m. after arriving from San Diego when police reported that a male passenger pulled out an emergency exit.

He then moved to the wing of the plane and then slid down to the airfield, police said. Police then arrived on the scene and detained him.

The passenger was charged. The incident did not affect the operation of the airport.
