CHICAGO — Chicago police have issued an alert after two attempted child seductions in the Austin area.

According to the alert, the first incident happened Thursday around 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of North Parkside Avenue. Police said a passenger in a white four-door truck with tinted windows tried to lure a 9-year-old boy into his vehicle.

The perpetrator then got out of the vehicle and told the boy to “come here” while trying to push him toward the truck, police said. The boy ran away from the criminal.

Police described the offender as a young white man with brown hair and a scratch on his face. He was wearing a white T-shirt at the time of the incident.

According to police, the perpetrator got out of the truck and started running after the boy. After seeing the relative, the boy ran west on Fulton Street, after which the offender got into a truck and fled the scene.
