Chicago police were on the scene when a gunman opened fire in an alley in the Little Village neighborhood on Saturday night. Police opened fire and after a short chase, the gunman was taken into custody. No casualties have been reported.

During the initial investigation, police found two handguns and took two men into custody in the 2200 block of South Sacramento Avenue around 10:52 p.m.

Two men were standing near the alley and one of them started shooting at the officers, police said. The officer returned fire, but no one was injured. Two men were then arrested and police recovered another gun.

The shooting is being investigated by the Office of Civilian Police Accountability and four district detectives. No additional information about the detainees has been reported.
