Cubs Opening Day at Wrigley Field: Here’s What You Need to Know

CHICAGO (CBS) – Baseball season returned to Chicago’s Wrigley Field when the Cubs met with the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.

The Cubs will start the season at 1:20 p.m. Ryan Baker of CBS 2 live from Wrigley Field.

John Vincent will sing the national anthem, and the Cubs Hall of Fame will throw out the ceremonial first inning and sing the seventh half.

To demonstrate support for Ukraine, the choir of the Ukrainian American Youth Association of the Mykola Pavlushkov branch in Chicago will perform at the Cubs Will Opening Day. The band will sing the anthem of Ukraine.

There will also be a raffle to help Ukrainian aid.

The cubs remind fans that all shopping at Wrigley Field is non-cash. All food and beverage orders can be placed through the MLB Ballpark app or a scanned QR code located throughout the site.
