Don’t Worry Darling Premieres on HBO Max – Deadline

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have set a streaming premiere date for their psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, announcing that the film, directed by and starring Olivia Wilde, will debut on HBO Max November 7.

Don’t Worry, Darling tells the story of Alice (Florence Pugh) and Jack (Harry Styles), who are lucky enough to live in the idealized community of Victory, an experimental company town inhabited by people who work for the top-secret Victory project. and their families. The public optimism of the 1950s, fostered by their CEO Frank (Chris Pine)—a corporate visionary and motivational life coach—infuses every aspect of daily life in the cramped desert utopia.

While the husbands spend each day at Project Victory headquarters working on “progressive materials development,” their wives—including Frank’s partner Shelley (Gemma Chan)—can spend time enjoying the beauty, luxury, and debauchery of their communities. . Life is perfect, every resident’s needs are met by the company. All they ask in return is discretion and unquestioning devotion to the cause of Victory. But as cracks begin to appear in her idyllic life, revealing glimpses of something much more sinister lurking beneath the attractive facade, Alice can’t help but wonder what exactly they’re doing at Victory, and why. Don’t Worry Darling had its world premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival and was released by Warner Bros. September 23. Wilde was directed by Kathy Silberman from a screenplay based on a story by Kerry Van Dyke, Shane Van Dyke and Silberman. The film also stars KiKi Lane, Nick Kroll, Sydney Chandler, Kate Berlant, Asif Ali, Douglas Smith, Timothy Simons, and Arielle Stachel.
