The owner of three goats found wandering on the South Side contacted Chicago Animal Care and Control Wednesday to rehome them, officials said.

Formerly an agency of the city posted photos of three goats on Facebooklooking for their owners so they can be returned.

The three beauties were taken in by workers as strays to Animal Control at 2741 S. Western Ave.

They were found near 6000 S. Wood St. and officials said they were very friendly and eating well. One of the agency’s partners provided them with goat feed during their short stay.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the goats had received just under 200 comments on Chicago Animal Care and Control’s Facebook page and their images had been shared more than 300 times.

As of Wednesday afternoon, a veterinarian had not checked on the goats, but officials said the owner was picking them up.
