HF High School held an event in support of a student who was sexually assaulted
FLOSSMOORE, IL — Students at Homewood Flossmoor High School plan to walk out Thursday in support of a student who was allegedly sexually assaulted by another student earlier this week.
Attorney Stephanie White and the mother of the 17-year-old student who was allegedly assaulted held press conference against school administrators on Wednesday for failing to act on the incident.
White says sexual assault is an ongoing problem at the school. District officials declined to comment, but said they valued the students’ voice and were working with police to maintain a safe walkout.
The performance is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Flossmoor High School.
