How much snow will fall on Tuesday?”
CHICAGO – Chicago is under a winter weather advisory as the season’s first snowstorm approaches Tuesday.
Just in time – Chicago usually gets its first noticeable snow of the season in mid-November.
So how much do we get?
Well, it depends on where you live.
Tom Skilling and the WGN weather team, when all is said and done Wednesday, say we could see one to four inches of snow.
They forecast up to four inches of snow in the northwest suburbs, two to three inches in the southwest suburbs, and about an inch in Chicago.
The snow is expected to start moving between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, but it could take a few hours for it to stick because the ground is still quite warm.
Northwest Indiana could see even more lake effect snow accumulation Tuesday night into Wednesday.
The winter weather advisory for Chicago ends Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
