It is reported that Zach Lavine must undergo surgery on his left knee, as the Chicago Bulls star weighs a free agency – Chicago Tribune

It is reported that Zach Lavigne will undergo surgery after battling pain and swelling in his left knee during the 2021-22 season.

LaVine will do arthroscopic surgery to repair an injury that occurred in January and is expected to fully recover this summer, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Earlier in 2017, LaVin tore a PKS in his left knee, which caused additional concern about any discomfort. He is missed the last two games before the all-star break receive treatment that included injections of cortisone and platelet-rich plasma.

Although LaVin has recovered from an injury after a break at the All-Star Game, the discomfort has severely limited his movement and forced the Chicago Bulls star to finish the matches over the last third of the season.

LaVin started the season with fear of injury after he tore a thumb ligament. These misfortunes continued in the final game of the postseason, which the guard missed, receiving a positive result at COVID-19 for the third time in the last year.

Despite juggling injuries and illness, LaVine has recorded a steady season for the Bulls along with Demar DeRozan, winning his second straight pick at the All-Star Game, averaging 24.4 points and 4.5 assists.

LaVine does not undertake to return to Chicago next season during his outgoing interview in April. This summer, he enters the market for the first time as an unlimited free agent after his eighth NBA season – and first win season.

“I’ve been here the last five years. I have to do it as a business decision, as a man, just not to look at it one way, ”Lavin said. “This is an unlimited free agency. For my family, for me, I have to go and look at it as a solution where I have to be open-eyed. I have to make my list and talk to everyone. “
