Lincoln College first opened in 1865 and became one of the few schools in Illinois with predominantly black students.

In the fall of 2019, the college had a record set, and dormitories were at full capacity, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything.

The last graduation ceremony took place at Lincoln College on Saturday and will officially close on Friday.
