Man stabbed on CTA Red Line train; a person in custody

CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed on a CTA Red Line train.

Police said the man was riding the train in the 1500 block of North Clybourn around 5:15 a.m. Thursday when another man approached him and grabbed his belongings.

According to the police, after that, the criminal stabbed a 40-year-old man in the stomach and thigh.

The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition.

The attacker was identified and taken into custody, the police informed. Charges have been filed.
