Much needed rain on the way to Central Illinois | Main stories

(WAND) – As drought intensifies in Central Illinois, much needed rain is on the way.

Friday will be a beautiful day with hazy sun and temperatures in the high 80s. Tonight we go back to the 50s.

Saturday will be foggy, hot and humid with a high near 80 degrees.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday evening, there will be rain, thunderstorms are possible.

Much of Central Illinois will see up to an inch of rain. Few hometowns can take more than an inch!

Clouds and rain, Sunday will be windy and cool, with a high in the 70s and a low in the 50s.

Mostly sunny and pleasant conditions will begin next week with highs in the 70s on Monday and then again by midweek.
