Niall Rogers is “Groovemaster” at the Central Park Roller disco in June this year – deadline

Have you heard of a new passion for dancing? It was the first line of the 1978 disco hit “Le Freak” Niall Rogers and Bernard Edwards, who performed with a large cast in the role of Chic.

The disco soon died, but now it rises from the grave in a new exciting attraction that debuts in New York Central Park this summer.

The Disco, as it is also called, is advertised as “exciting, musical and theatrical disco-roller”. It is worshiped in the historic and iconic Central Park Skating rink Wallman from June 16 to October 1. The best news is that the Grammy winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Niall Rodgers, will preside as Groovemaster and music curator of the project.

A joint event hosted by Constellation Immersive in partnership with Live Nation, The DiscOasis offers daytime outdoor skating sessions and nightly thrills.

Last year in Los Angeles, this experience took a turn for the worse, but now it is returning to what many consider the birthplace of disco. ,

Rogers, of course, knows how to start a party. In addition to Chic, he has worked and produced Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Daft Punk, Duran Duran, Lady Gaga and others.

The band on skateboards comes to life every night with The DiscOasis live performances, and behind the rink on DiscOasis there will be a dance floor, local DJs, cafes, games, installations, photo zones and much more. Part of the proceeds will go to the We are a Family Foundation, which supports cultural diversity and youth.
