CHICAGO (CBS) — Nearly $ 1 million in scholarships will go to students seeking careers in health care.
Cook County has announced that the Provident Foundation Scholarship will support students who are committed to providing care to communities that are not served.
Applications open Wednesday. Students of medicine and dentistry are eligible.
Health and dental students will receive $ 20,000 in scholarships, and Allied Health / Undergraduate and Senior students will receive $ 10,000 in scholarships.
