Drew Hamill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, tweeted that she is currently asymptomatic. The speaker is fully vaccinated and has been vaccinated.
“After a negative test this week, Speaker Pelosi received a positive COVID-19 test and is currently asymptomatic,” Hamill said. said in a couple of tweets. “The speaker is fully vaccinated and is grateful for the reliable protection provided by the vaccine. The speaker will be quarantined in accordance with CDC recommendations and encourages everyone to get vaccinated, stimulated and tested regularly.”
Pelosi was at the White House for two events on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, on Wednesday, she joined Mr. Biden on stage to sign the Postal Service Reform Act. Obama, who got a full vaccination and got a booster, was COVID-19 last month.
The White House said Wednesday that Mr. Biden had given a negative test to COVID-19 and would continue to take regular tests. According to the CDC, he is not considered close contact with Pelosi. According to the White House, they have had “short conversations” over the past two days, and Mr Biden “wishes Speaker Pelosi a speedy recovery”.
