CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears’ spending spree continued Monday night.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garofolathe Bears have agreed to a 2-year deal with former Tennessee Titans quarterback DeMarcus Walker that will pay him more than $7 million per season.
Walker had a career high 7.0 sacks played in 17 games for the Titans last year.
Prior to his time at Tennessee, Walker was a 4-year member of the Denver Broncos’ defensive line from 2017-2020, posting 4.0 and 4.5 sacks in his final two seasons with the team before spending the 2021 season with the Houston Texans, where he had 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble in 13 games played.
Walker became the fourth player signed by Chicago during this year’s free agency period, joining forward Nate Davis (3 years/$30 million) and linebackers Tremaine Edmunds (4 years/$72 million) and TJ Edwards (3 years / $19.5 million). .
