CHICAGO (CBS) – A man was shot dead in a church parking lot in the West Ridge neighborhood on Monday morning.
Police said a 19-year-old man quarreled with another man around 9:25 a.m. at a church parking lot in West Ridge, formerly known as the Northwest Baptist Church, in 6000 North Francis Avenue, when another man pulled out a gun and started firing.
The victim received gunshot wounds to the right and left thighs and was taken to St. Francis Hospital AMITA Evanston in good condition.
No one was detained on Monday afternoon.
The investigation was conducted by operatives of the Three district.
