CHICAGO (CBS) – On Thursday afternoon in Chicago Lon a man was robbed at gunpoint and one of the robbers was shot dead, police said.
At 3:52 p.m., the 60-year-old victim was walking to his car in 2800 West 66th Street when three men approached and one of them inserted a gun into his back, police said. Two other robbers confiscated his property.
During the robbery, one of the robbers was shot in the back of the head and armpits, police said. Police did not specify who allegedly fired the shots.
The shot robber was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. Two more suspects in the robberies have been detained.
