Three $100,000 winning Powerball tickets and nine $50,000 winning Powerball tickets sold in Illinois
ILLINOIS — Check your tickets! Although no one won Wednesday night’s $1.2 billion Powerball jackpot, 12 lucky people from Illinois could claim a nice chunk of cash.
To win the huge jackpot, players had to match all five regular numbers plus the Powerball: 2, 11, 22, 35, 60 and the red Powerball 23. All of the aforementioned 12 missed by one number, landing four out of five. regular numbers plus Powerball.
Here’s where all 12 tickets were sold and the corresponding winnings:

The difference between nine winners with a $50,000 prize and three who can claim a $100,000 prize? “Power Play”. They each paid $1 more to multiply the potential winning non-jackpot ticket, which in the case of this drawing doubled the amount.
No one has won the top Powerball prize since Aug. 3, making 39 consecutive draws without matching all six numbers.
What’s behind three months of lottery futility? It’s simple math. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
The next drawing is scheduled for Saturday, with a current jackpot of $1.5 billion, but that could grow as tickets are sold.
