Three people were shot, one fatally, Wednesday night in the Rogers Park neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
The shooting happened in the 6600 block of North Clark Street around 8:50 p.m. Three men were standing on the sidewalk when an unknown person fired.
The Chicago Fire Department transported a man to Ascension St. Francis in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was later pronounced dead at 9:38 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner.
Firefighters took a 43-year-old man to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and a 48-year-old man in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the face to Ascension St. Francis.
As of Thursday morning, no one had been arrested and detectives are investigating.
