WASHINGTON (AP) – A rare wedding reception will be held at the White House this fall when Naomi Biden, granddaughter of President Joe Biden, celebrates her marriage to Peter Neal.

The event is scheduled for November 19. Naomi Biden, 28, is a lawyer, and her fiancé, 24-year-old Neil, is studying law.

“Peter and I are infinitely grateful to my Nana and Pope for the opportunity to celebrate our wedding at the White House,” she tweeted. “We can’t wait to make our commitments to each other official and what lies ahead.”

Naomi is the daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle.

Michael Larosa, a spokeswoman for First Lady Jill Biden, said the family “is still in the planning stages of all the wedding celebrations”, adding that more details would be announced in the coming months.

“In line with other private events hosted by the First Family, and in line with the traditions of previous White House weddings in previous administrations, the Biden family will pay for wedding events at the White House,” Larosa said. .
