Cleveland (AP) – For the second day in a row, the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians are postponed due to bad weather and unsuitable conditions for the game.
Tuesday’s game was announced four hours before the scheduled first inning, and the decision was made after Guardians officials inspected the wet field at Progressive Field. The last two days in downtown Cleveland were snowing and temperatures were below 30 degrees.
The game will take place as part of the traditional double header on Wednesday, starting at 14:10. Monday’s transfer will be played as part of the doubleheader on July 12.
This week’s four-game series now consists of three games: two on Wednesday and one on Thursday. With drier weather forecast, AL Central’s opponents should finally meet for the first time this season.
The second postponement destroyed a duel between former Sai Young Award winners Shane Bieber of Cleveland and Dallas Kechel of Chicago. They were dismissed from scheduled starts on Monday.
Plans for the team have not been announced yet.
