WWE Raw Results 7/8: Chad Gable Faces Jey Uso, Mixed Tag Team Match, and More

Chad Gable, currently being pursued by the Wyatt Sicks, will have to set that aside as he faces Jey Uso one-on-one. Both wrestlers encountered each other this past Saturday at WWE Money In The Bank during the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match, but neither managed to secure the briefcase.
Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will team up with Dominik Mysterio of Judgment Day to face LWO’s Zelina Vega and Rey Mysterio in a Mixed Tag Team Match. Last week, Dominik and Rey brawled during Morgan’s title defense against Vega. Despite Dominik’s attempts to help Vega dethrone Morgan, Morgan assisted Dominik in winning his match against Rey later that night.
Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, and Carlito will clash with Awesome Truth and Braun Strowman. Balor and McDonagh successfully challenged R-Truth and The Miz for the WWE World Tag Team Championship on the June 24 edition of “Raw,” and Strowman is out for revenge against Judgment Day.
On the June 17 episode of “Raw,” Kayden Carter and Katana Chance defeated Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai with help from Lyra Valkyria. Tonight, Sane and Kai seek retribution alongside Damage CTRL teammate IYO SKY against Carter, Chance, and Valkyria.
The World Heavyweight Championship match at Money In The Bank saw Damian Priest, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, and Drew McIntyre clash, with McIntyre cashing in his Men’s Money In The Bank briefcase. The match ended controversially when CM Punk intervened, costing Rollins his title shot to ensure he wouldn’t challenge Priest again. While McIntyre is currently suspended, Priest and Rollins are advertised to appear tonight, along with GUNTHER.
The show kicks off with a recap of Money In The Bank events from Saturday.
Michael Cole and Pat McAfee greet viewers as CM Punk heads to the ring.
Punk addresses the crowd, acknowledging John Cena’s impending retirement and expressing his hope to share the ring with him once more. Punk highlights Drew McIntyre’s suspension due to his post-show antics at Money In The Bank, which included attacking referees and Adam Pearce. Punk emphasizes the consequences of actions and demands Pearce lift McIntyre’s suspension so he can confront him directly.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins interrupts, confronting Punk about his interference at Money In The Bank. Punk clarifies his actions as handling his own business and apologizes to Rollins, though he admits he isn’t entirely sorry. Rollins vows to prevent Punk from getting his revenge on McIntyre and warns that actions have consequences.
Backstage, Dominik Mysterio unsuccessfully attempts to persuade Adam Pearce to remove him from the Mixed Tag Team Match later tonight.
Jey Uso makes his way to the ring, followed by Chad Gable.
Chad Gable vs. Jey Uso
The bell rings, and the two lock up. Jey lands several right hands, but Gable counters with a mat return. Jey dumps Gable out of the ring and attempts a tope suicida, but Gable catches him with a belly-to-belly suplex.
Returning from the break, Gable hits a diving headbutt on Jey and goes for a pin, but Jey kicks out. Gable sends Jey into the top turnbuckle and over the top rope. Jey responds with a tope suicida and a splash. Jey follows up with an enzuigiri and a Hip Attack, but Gable trips him and locks in an Ankle Lock. The lights go out, distracting Gable. Jey takes advantage with a spear for the win.
Winner: Jey Uso
After the match, Jey retreats as the Wyatt Sicks’ music plays and smoke fills the ring. Sister Abigail appears, causing Gable to retreat up the ramp. Abigail hands a box to Michael Cole.
Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Sheamus about his 15th Anniversary in WWE. Bronson Reed interrupts, asserting that the focus should be on him.
Returning from the break, Pat McAfee reveals another VHS tape from Sister Abigail’s box.
Bronson Reed heads to the ring, followed by Pete Dunne.
Pete Dunne vs. Bronson Reed
The bell rings, and the two lock up. Reed clocks Dunne, who counters with an Armbar. Dunne lands an enzuigiri and a forearm off the top rope. He follows with a moonsault off the ring apron and another off the ropes.
Returning from the break, Reed clotheslines Dunne and attempts a senton, but Dunne rolls away. Dunne stomps on Reed’s fingers and head, delivering a Buckle Bomb and a sit-out powerbomb. Reed kicks out and ascends to the top, where Dunne snaps his fingers. Reed fights off Dunne and hits the Tsunami for the win.
Winner: Bronson Reed
After the match, Reed attempts another Tsunami, but Sheamus rushes to the ring to assist Dunne. Sheamus and Dunne brawl with Reed, ending with Sheamus landing a Brogue Kick. Dunne refuses Sheamus’ hug and leaves the ring, still upset over the Brawling Brutes’ dissolution.
Returning from the break, Seth “Freakin” Rollins speaks with Damian Priest, complimenting his performance at Money In The Bank. Priest accepts Rollins’ praise and answers a call, hinting at further developments.
Sami Zayn heads to the ring.
Bron Breakker Confronts Sami Zayn
Zayn addresses Breakker’s performance at Money In The Bank, asserting his dominance as a champion. Breakker enters the ring silently, then suddenly spears Zayn. Officials try to intervene, but Breakker delivers another spear. Ilja Dragunov confronts Breakker and checks on Zayn.
Returning from the break, Adam Pearce grants Dragunov a match against Breakker for later tonight.
Judgment Day vs. Awesome Truth and Braun Strowman
Judgment Day makes their entrance, followed by Awesome Truth, who are ambushed. Braun Strowman charges to the ring, leading to a chaotic brawl. Judgment Day blindsides Awesome Truth, but Strowman retaliates, leveling the field.
Awesome Truth and Strowman rally, but Judgment Day ultimately gains the upper hand. Despite a valiant effort from Truth and Strowman, Balor’s Coup De Grace secures the win for Judgment Day.
Winners: Judgment Day
Returning from the break, we view the VHS tape given to Cole and McAfee. Bo Dallas discusses setting the Wyatt Sicks free, hinting at further chaos.
Chad Gable confronts Adam Pearce about the Wyatt Sicks but decides to handle them himself. Pearce enters his office to find Bo Dallas waiting.
Ilja Dragunov heads to the ring, followed by Bron Breakker.
