A 57-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the knee on the north side

CHICAGO — A 57-year-old man accidentally discharged a firearm and shot himself in the knee Wednesday night in the city’s Goose Island neighborhood, police said.

Police said a man was in the 1200 block of North Larrabee Street when he accidentally discharged a firearm, shooting himself in the left knee, around 8:40 p.m.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition. The police are investigating the incident.
