Here is the list for 2022.

CandyStore explains that Circus Peanuts have never existed before. 1 on their “worst” list and were in second place last year.

Not familiar with some of these candies? Here’s a quick breakdown (date/year of introduction if known) for those you may not have heard of: Mary Jane (Peanut Butter and Molasses, 1914); Smarties (sweet chocolate with hard coating, 1937); wax cola bottles (a sticky cylinder containing sweet syrup with various flavors); and Necco Wafers (chalky wafers with various flavors, 1847).

Interestingly, there are two candies on this list very similar

Peanut Butter Kisses are not related to Hershey’s Kisses, despite the name. They are, however, a version of Mary Jane candy, as explained by a food historian Sarah Wasberg Johnson. Like Mary Janes, PBKs are peanut butter and molasses flavored. Unlike Mary Janes, PBKs come in orange and black wrappers — perhaps that’s why they’re so often associated with Halloween.

In case you’re wondering, CandyStore hasn’t reserved all of its research for finding candy that people love to hate. The site also named him Top 10 Halloween Candywith one big winner reigning supreme for another year: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

“This is the perennial blast of the century,” writes CandyStore.

It is important to note that likes and dislikes are subjective. All candies are available to those who like them. Enjoy your Halloween favorites!
