Allerton Park lights up for festive display | Community
MONTICELLO, Ill. (WAND) — Allerton Park and Retreat Center’s Holiday Fair will begin Friday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The Festive showcase begins simultaneously with the start of the Holiday GLOW outdoor light show.
Friday’s showcase, presented by Sterling Wealth Management, will feature 26 vendors in Allerton’s historic 1900 mansion. The Monticello High School Madrigal Singers will perform in the outdoor courtyard from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., and the Monticello Area Arts Council will host a natural jewelry making workshop in the mansion’s carriage house.
Tickets for the showcase are $10 per person and are available at allerton.illinois.edu or directly on Brite event. The Showcase runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 3-4, with an optional lunch buffet.
The GLOW light show, presented by the University of Illinois Community Credit Union, opens Dec. 2 and runs most evenings from 5 to 9 p.m. through the end of December and the first two weekends of January. Tickets are required on opening night, December 2; on all other dates, a $10 donation per car is suggested.
