Decatur man gets 24-month probation; accused of assaulting and dousing a woman with gasoline | Main stories

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – A Decatur man accused of dousing a woman with gasoline and hitting her in the head with a gas pump was sentenced Thursday to 24 months of probation.

Reginald W. Anderson, 58, was initially arrested on domestic battery charges in June after a a domestic dispute took place at the BP gas station in South Shores, May 6.

Anderson took a plea deal in court Thursday. He will be admitted to a hybrid or drug court program on an unrelated aggravated DUI charge.

Anderson also received three convictions days in the Macon County Correctional Center, which was revoked because of the time he had previously spent in custody.

According to court records, he will have to serve 24 months of probation. pay $25.00 per month for probation plus court costs and comply with all requirements and rules of the Macon County Drug Court Program.
