Man acquitted of killing Suavi Turner | Main stories
MACON COUNTY, ILL. (WAND) – A verdict has been reached in the trial of a man accused of shooting and killing a Decatur man.
Talmel Wilson Jr., 20, charged with shooting and murder Suave L. Turner28.
On Tuesday, a jury found him not guilty of first-degree murder.
The state called its first witness Monday afternoon, a Decatur man who was with Turner the night he was shot and took him to the hospital.
A witness told jurors he did not know who shot his friend, but in a recorded police interview, the witness told a Decatur police sergeant he saw Wilson shoot at his car.

The shooting happened in MLK The last stop is at 1527 BC. Martin LUther King Jr. MD in May 2019.
Police said after a lengthy investigation, probable cause was established to charge Wilson with first degree murder in September 2021.
