The 2022 Aurora Lights Festival will open before Christmas

AURORA — The holiday season officially arrived in Aurora when the ribbon was cut for the Festival of Lights on Friday.

The festival is one of the largest free travel light displays in the region.

A million lights line a one-mile route through Phillips Park.

There is no admission charge, you need to register to get a ticket online.

Donations will be accepted at the end of the campaign, and the money collected will go to support local non-profit and youth organizations.

The Festival of Lights takes place every day from 5pm to 9pm over Christmas.
