2 Chicago police officers injured, 5 in custody after brawl on city’s north side

CHICAGO — Two Chicago Officers at the police department were injured and five people are being questioned after a fight Saturday on the city’s north side, police said.

According to police, officers responded around 5:45 p.m. to a report of several people fighting near West Division Street and North State Street.

The officer suffered bruises and cuts and was taken to a local hospital in good condition, police said. Another officer suffered a facial injury and refused medical attention.

According to the police, five persons of interest are in custody and are being interrogated by investigators.
