6 “Community Clean Energy Centers” Coming to Harvey
HARVEY, Ill. — Leaders are set to unveil details of the $1.7 million Net Zero Community Hub project, which a press release says will focus on public safety and neighborhood revitalization in the city of Harvey.
On Wednesday morning, Harvey Mayor Christopher Clark will be joined by Illinois State Representative William Davis and a Nicor Gas representative for a groundbreaking ceremony.
The release says they will announce the development of “six multi-purpose community centers in the neighborhood that will be built using energy-efficient, net-zero building materials. Benefits of the project include improved public safety through community policing, attractive community gathering places and a new platform for community engagement.”
