A man was killed Wednesday in a shooting in Garfield Park in Chicago
A man was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in East Garfield Park Wednesday night, police said. It comes after the individual pictures from the drive-thru during the watch in the same area As of Monday night, 14 people were shot, including three minors.
In the latest shooting, a 38-year-old man was outside in the 3400 block of West Lake Street when a dark sedan pulled up at about 11:56 p.m. Wednesday and someone inside fired shots in his direction. The man received a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
He was then taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition by an unknown person, where he was pronounced dead at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner.
As of Thursday morning, no one had been arrested and investigators are investigating.
