A teenager was accused of murdering a 39-year-old man in Chicago

CHICAGO — A 16-year-old has been charged with first degree murder after he shot and killed a 39-year-old man in August, according to Chicago police.

The shooting happened Aug. 17 in the 4800 block of South Walcott Avenue, according to police. Located in the city’s Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The boy was arrested Friday afternoon in the 4500 block of South Damen Avenue, police said. He was due in court Saturday morning.

The This is reported by the Chicago Sun-Times Jose Morales, 38, was shot to death on the sidewalk in August.

Police have not identified the boy who was charged.
