Crown Point schools are canceling classes Monday due to a possible network hack

CROWN POINT, Ind. — Crown Point Community School Corp. canceled classes for all students on Monday.

According to the Northwest Indiana Times, school officials made the decision after learning that the network may have been compromised during an outage last week,

The district said it slowly restored parts of the network over the weekend, but students and teachers will likely have limited network access this week.

On Monday, the school district will release another update on plans to reopen schools for students on Tuesday.
