Knife-wielding man who strangled woman charged with attempted murder and sexual assault
CHICAGO — A man was charged Friday with attempted murder and multiple counts of aggravated assault for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman.
William Dukes, 54, was reportedly charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
Dukes was arrested Thursday in the 6200 block of North Washtenaw Avenue for allegedly sexually assaulting a 42-year-old woman while armed with a knife, police said.
He was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
