“Last Week Tonight With John Oliver” captured Kristen Stewart and Tom Brady – deadline

John Oliver returned from Last week tonight and summarize some of the hottest topics affecting Americans across the country. The late night host started the show with a swipe Tom Brady after it was confirmed that he is separating from his wife.

“It’s been a busy week from the mass protests still going on in Iran to Tom Brady suddenly having one less ring,” Oliver joked.

Oliver was referring to Brady’s seven Super Bowl championship rings. The current Tampa Buccaneers quarterback has one title with his current team and previously won six with the New England Patriots. However, the comedian wasn’t talking about Brady losing his Super Bowl rings, but his engagement ring after the couple announced their separation after 13 years of marriage.

Oliver later broached the subject of bail reform and featured a clip in which New York City Police Commissioner Dermot F. Shea blamed the rise in crime, contradicting his previous position.

“Well, Dermot, the numbers aren’t dramatic, or rather 100% reform would lead to more executions, because those things are mutually exclusive,” Oliver said.

Oliver continued, “The only place where non-dramatic and 100% can exist at the same time is the overall Kristen Stewart vibe. She gives everything, but she also gives us absolutely nothing. It’s totally amazing.”
