Thanksgiving at the Inn of the Good Samaritan | Main stories
DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – The hotel’s doors will be open on Thanksgiving Day. The Good Samaritan Inn in Decatur offers free hot meals to those in need and anyone who just wants to eat.
“We’re open 24 hours a day, every holiday, every snow storm, and of course we’ll be helping our regular customers and anyone who needs a hot meal,” Executive Director Nikki Besser tells WAND News. “So we’ll have turkey, cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, roast potatoes, and the church has donated a ton of pies. So we’re very, very lucky.”
Food will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Good Samaritan Inn will also be serving food to those in need on Christmas Day.
