Westside’s youth football team reached their goal and will be going to the national championship
CHICAGO — Westside’s youth football team raised enough money to attend the national championship game in Orlando.
Last month, WGN News reported how the Garfield Park Gators, led by Tim Hall, were trying to raise $30,000 for a trip to Florida. About $25,000 was raised, and WGN News has learned that a private donor contributed the rest.

As a result, 30 football players will play on Friday. While in Florida, the team will also visit Disney World, Sea World and Busch Gardens.
The all-star trip is scheduled for December 2.
