Black Friday shoppers flooded Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora

AURORA, Ill. — Friday afternoon traffic is heading to the Chicago Premium Outlets Aurora was almost at a standstill.

By nightfall, the crowd had not dwindled much. Cars are parked along the road without a place.

“We had to go all the way in the back parking lot, like in the boonies, and we had to go all the way here,” Paul Monalaisi said.

For most of the day, there were queues outside the popular shops.

A mall representative told WGN News that police had to close the entrances at least three times because it continued to reach capacity. Officers periodically opened the entrances as people left, but still warned of long delays.
