CPD is warning North Side businesses about repeated thefts
CHICAGO — Chicago police have issued a warning to North Side business owners about a spate of burglaries.
Five businesses were robbed on the five-mile stretch of Western, between Belmont Avenue and Howard Street, on Friday morning alone.
A business near Clark and Fullerton was also robbed.
Police said that in all the incidents, two to three thefts were committed by breaking the front glass door and removing money and other items.
Police are urging business owners to keep their properties well lit, use security cameras and report anything suspicious.
