Election Day 2022: What you need to know before you go to vote
CHICAGO — Election day is finally here, and polls are officially open in Chicago and across the state.
Before you head out to vote, election officials want you to know that your polling place may have changed. Officials say that the changes are connected with the redistribution of districts of city councils.
To find out about your polling place, you can go to the address ChicagoElections.org and click on ‘Your Voter Information’. You can also call 312-269-7900 to inquire about your location.
On Tuesday, polling stations are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., but those standing in line can vote until 7 p.m.
For those who have requested a postal ballot but have not yet sent it in, it’s not too late. You can go to the post office and ask the clerk to mark it, or drop it in a safe box by 7pm on Tuesday.
