Rockford residents feast on their cars

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Candy Cruise has let trick-or-treaters do the talking in their vehicles.

Life Church Rockford hosted the event over the weekend. Residents decorated their cars and went for candy.

This is the format they adopted during COVID.

“Kids get more candy than they know what to do with, let me tell you that. We just have a lot of candy and fun things that we give out to the kids,” said Ken Hansen, lead pastor of Life Church Rockford. “It’s just a way to be involved in the community, to let the community know that we’re here and we care.”

The organizers said that they would be happy to celebrate the holiday.
